In the history of the United Kingdom, the Victorian Era was the period of Queen Victoria’s reign, from 1837 until 1901. Victoria used to dress in a way that looks pleasing to men. She never raised any question on the dressing women were supposed to wear by the society. She happily wore what she was demanded to wear like corsets and dresses made out of Honiton lace. Then came the lady Marie Antoinette, who provoked the popular unrest that led to the French Revolution. She was very rebellious when it came to fashion as being from Australian background, she couldn’t adjust with the French style of clothing. She brought in a lot of fashion choices for women which they had never worn as their natural body shape was visible.

Corsets were used to show cinched waist of women so that men find it pleasing to the eyes. In present times also women are expected to have perfect figure. These days women  are expected to undergo cosmetic surgeries in order to look pleasing in the eyes of men and society. Surgeries such as Facial Contouring, Facial Rejuvenation, Breast Enhnacement, Body Contouring and Skin Rejuvenation are used by women to fit the society.

I have used cosmetic surgery in comparison to corsets to bring out the effect in today’s world with the help of marking that form an ideal body shape.
